| Our Story |
Ashley and Ryan began Elemental Importers in 2008 out of the desire to promote a
wine culture that embraces all aspects of the wine experience. As people in their late
twenties they found themselves stuck between two distinctly contrasting ways of life:
boisterous house parties with cheap beer and chips, and a sophisticated wine society
that requires money and a sommelier. Enjoying aspects of both, they decided to
celebrate and blend them equally. Soon they realized that this is universal. Everyone
wants to enjoy the refinement of wine and the fun of lively gatherings. This is why
they focus on finding wines that are loved by casual drinkers and connoisseurs alike.
Ashley and Ryan come from professional backgrounds in marketing and international
relations. Ryan spent a number of years living in Europe cultivating his love for fine
wine and beer while Ashley lived in South America fostering her love of the culture of
this part of the world. Out of these combined professional and personal interests they
decided to create Elemental Importers in order to supply people with what they need
to enjoy this new drinking culture.
